This module explores the evolving role of technology in supporting learners with special educational needs. Participants will examine how software, hardware, and assistive technologies can be integrated into classrooms and therapeutic settings to enhance accessibility and learning outcomes. The course also introduces artificial intelligence (AI) and its emerging applications in personalized learning, communication aids, and predictive interventions for students with diverse needs. Through real-world examples and case studies, learners will gain practical strategies for selecting and implementing the right tools to support inclusive education in both physical and virtual learning environments.

- The course comprises lectures, home assignments, mid term and end of semester assignments.
- Students earn 2 credits for SPED 302. spend 6 hours each week on this course in a mixture of faculty led teaching learning (1 hour) and student- directed learning (2 hours) on review or recommended readings and home assignments.
