The CESC Inclusive Education (CIED) Fellowship is an immersive professional experience designed to equip individuals who are passionate about Inclusive Education and Neurodiversity (IEN). Whether you’re a recent graduate, a mid-career professional, or a retiree ready to make a difference, this fellowship offers hands-on training, research opportunities, and meaningful engagement with leading institutions across the Eastern Seaboard.
Through structured learning, travel, and mentorship, Fellows gain real-world experience, global connections, and the leadership skills needed to drive inclusive education and social change.

Fellows at CESC share one thing in common, a deep commitment to making education accessible and equitable for all. The program empowers participants to:
⦾ Work Directly with Experts – Shadow IEN educators, therapists, and administrators.
⦾ Advance through Research – Participate in collaborative studies using qualitative, quantitative, and mixed methods.
⦾ Explore Global Perspectives – Engage with institutions across New York and Washington, D.C.
⦾ Build Professional Networks – Connect with peers, mentors, and professionals in education, policy, and healthcare.


The Fellowship experience
As a Fellow, you’ll take part in:

Didactic sessions with experienced IEN faculty and practitioners
Shadowing experiences
across specialized departments
Project
management
training in real-world settings
Participants may choose from three fellowship pathways:
Rotational: Gain broad exposure through departmental rotations
Project-based: Lead a targeted research or management initiative
Hybrid: Begin with rotations and complete a focused capstone project
Duration: Fellows may choose between 6–8 weeks of immersive study or a 1–2 year professional track.

Fellows will visit and collaborate with partner institutions and cultural centers such as:
