Ms. Donna A. Abrams, MSc

With over 30 years of professional experience in social services, behavioral sciences, community development, and youth leadership, Donna A. Abrams is a dedicated advocate for personal and community growth. Her career spans various roles, including program management, service coordination, and quality assurance, with a focus on supporting individuals with developmental disabilities.


Donna holds a Master of Science in Project Analysis and Implementation from the University of Connecticut and a Bachelor of Social Science in Sociology and Economics from the University of Guyana. These qualifications underpin her expertise in program development, strategic planning, and service delivery for vulnerable populations.


Her extensive experience includes serving as a Program Coordinator and MSC Supervisor for the Office for People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) in New York. In these roles, she supervised service coordinators, managed crisis intervention and skills programs, and facilitated the development of individualized support plans. She also provided training for direct care professionals, monitored performance, and ensured compliance with Medicaid billing requirements.


In addition, Donna has worked as an Office/Evaluation Manager for private psychotherapy services, where she facilitated psychosocial and psychological assessments for individuals with mental challenges. Her background also includes roles as an analyst at TIAA-CREF, where she assessed retirement premiums for education employees, and as a planner in Guyana, where she contributed to national budget preparation and public sector investment programs.


As a Life Coach, Donna A. Abrams brings her wealth of experience to teaching SEN Treatment—The Team Approach—Life Coach. Her focus on collaboration, advocacy, and empowerment ensures participants are equipped to support individuals with special educational needs effectively, fostering their holistic development and integration into the community.
