Ms. Britney Thomas-Gurley, MArch

Britney Thomas-Gurley is a passionate architectural designer with nearly a decade of experience shaping residential, commercial, and community spaces. A proud graduate of Andrews University, she holds both a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, with international study experiences in Italy, Paris, Sweden, and London that have enriched her design perspective.
Professionally, Britney has contributed to firms such as Brooks Architectural Inc. and Van Metre Homes, where she has worked on a wide range of projects including school libraries, churches, restaurants, and residential communities, guiding each design from concept to construction. She has also specialized in mechanical systems and interior planning, and brings additional expertise in Revit, AutoCAD, and architectural rendering tools like Lumion and V-Ray.
Beyond the drafting table, Britney has taught design principles and hand-drawing techniques at the Central Technology Centre and has volunteered on community planning projects, including an international build in Bolivia.
Now bringing her talents to the Charlotte Education Services Consortium, Britney leads the SEN Architecture course, where she inspires students to create inclusive, accessible environments that reflect both technical excellence and community care. She is a devoted mother who enjoys cooking, swimming, and cultivating meaningful experiences in all areas of life.
