Dr. Lesley-Ann Bovell, EdD, MEd, CCC-SLP

Lesley-Ann Bovell, M.Ed. CCC-SLP- I’m a Brooklyn, NY native. I have been a Speech Language Pathologist for a little over 10 years. I attended Andrews University in Berrien Springs, MI and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Speech Language Pathology and Audiology in Fall 2007. In the Spring of 2009, I attended Valdosta State University in Valdosta, GA where I received a Master of Education degree with an emphasis in Communication Disorders. This year, I will be completing a Doctor of Education degree in Organizational Leadership with an emphasis in Special Education. Currently, I am licensed to practice Speech Therapy in the District of Columbia and Maryland. My areas of expertise are in language and literacy, fluency, cognitive-communicative impairments, and augmentative communication. Either currently or in the past, I have worked with the preschool through adult population. My client’s diagnoses have varied from autism, developmental delay, emotional disturbance, Down Syndrome, language disorders, and articulation disorder just to name a few. Since 2016, I have been in higher education as a Professor of Speech Language Pathology and Education. I teach early childhood, elementary, and special education courses on the university level.
