Ms. Claudette Gilead, EdS, NCSP

Dr. Claudette Gilead is an experienced educator and school psychologist with over two decades of expertise in supporting the academic, emotional, and behavioral development of students. She holds a PhD in School Psychology (in progress) and an EdS in School Psychology from Andrews University. She is also a Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NCSP) and has a Master of Arts in Educational Psychology, with a focus on psychological testing, counseling techniques, and behavioral interventions.
Dr. Gilead has been an elementary school teacher at La Horquetta North Government School since 2000, where she has worked extensively with students facing severe academic, emotional, and behavioral challenges. Her ability to apply evidence-based strategies and interventions from her training has made a significant impact on both her students and the school community.
Her professional training includes a practicum and internship in School Psychology, where she gained over 1,400 hours of experience under the supervision of licensed school psychologists. During this time, she conducted cognitive, behavioral, and educational assessments; prepared case study evaluations; developed and monitored behavioral and academic interventions; and provided counseling services to individuals and groups. She also participated in IEP and Care Team meetings and delivered professional in-service presentations on topics related to school psychology.
Dr. Gilead’s dedication to helping students thrive is matched by her strong communication skills, ethical approach, and ability to collaborate effectively with educators and families.
As a lecturer in SEN Diagnostics, Dr. Gilead brings her deep knowledge of psychological assessment and intervention to help educators accurately identify and address the needs of students with special educational needs. Her practical experience and academic expertise make her a valuable resource for fostering effective, data-driven approaches to supporting diverse learners.
