Child Month 2025: A Nation’s Commitment to Its Children

May 2025 marks Jamaica’s annual observance of Child Month, a powerful national tradition dedicated to celebrating, uplifting, and protecting the rights and well-being of children. This year’s theme, “ACT NOW! Stand Against Child Abuse and Exploitation,” calls on Jamaicans from all walks of life to take an active role in creating safer environments where every child can thrive.
Organized by the National Child Month Committee (NCMC) under the Ministry of Education, Skills, Youth & Information, Child Month 2025 features a month-long series of events including prayer services, care package distributions, National Children’s Day, and school-based awareness campaigns. These initiatives aim to foster dialogue, education, and community action around child safety and development.
