Mrs. Ganelle Ramkissoon
Director of Institutional Effectiveness

Mrs. Ganelle Ramkissoon has been an educator for the past 25 years, the last 22 as a Special Needs Educator at the primary school level. During her journey within the elementary school system, she served as a Secondary Entrance Assessment Specialist, Head of Department as well as Special Education Needs Coordinator. She, however, currently serves as a Senior Special Education Instructor within the Student Support Services Division, Ministry of Education as well as an adjunct lecturer in the Bachelor of Education in Special Education program and a Subject Matter Expert for the development of courses in Educational Technology at the University of the Southern Caribbean. Mrs. Ramkissoon is also a member of administration for Grace Academy of Excellence Private Primary and Secondary Schools, where she lends guidance and support in the areas of curriculum as well as special needs education instruction and accommodations. She possesses a Bachelor of Education Degree (Magna Cum Laude) in General Primary Education as well as a Master’s Degree, in Educational Technology with emphasis in Classroom Usage and Development, both from the University of Trinidad and Tobago. Mrs. Ramkissoon also sits on the Possibilities Ministries and Children and Adolescent Ministries advisories of the South Caribbean Conference of SDA, where she facilitates training and sensitization for leaders, members and parents locally and regionally, as well as specialized events for children and parents of children with autism spectrum disorder. Education is her passion, specifically the education of children with special needs, who aren’t always understood or catered for in the mainstream system. Mrs. Ramkissoon is a wife and mother including the mother of a superhero with special education needs.
