Dr. Victoria Patricia Josephine Elder, a native of Point Fortin, Trinidad and Tobago, is a distinguished educator, psychologist, and advocate for individuals with special needs. She holds a PhD in School Psychology and an Educational Specialist (EdS) degree from Andrews University. Her academic credentials also include a Master of Arts in Educational and Developmental Psychology, a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from the University of the Southern Caribbean, and a Bachelor of Arts in Musical Arts (Special Honors) from the University of the West Indies.
Dr. Elder has dedicated her entire career to education, teaching at every level of the Trinidad and Tobago education system, from primary to tertiary. She has served as a Curriculum Officer and Curriculum Coordinator with the Ministry of Education and as an adjunct lecturer at the University of the Southern Caribbean in the Visual and Performing Arts. Internationally, she has worked with the Special Education Department at Jordan High School in Utah, USA, as a School Psychologist, conducting psychoeducational assessments for students with special needs and supporting parents of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder at the Canyons Family Centre in Utah.
